Dead City (Pripyat Ukraine)
The city is located a few kilometers from the plant. Pripyat was founded in 1970, in connection with the construction of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1979 received city status. The population for November 1985 - 47500 people. After the disaster at the nuclear power plant in 1986 the population of the town was completely evacuated and resettled in newly built, 50 kilometers east on the right bank of the Dnieper, the city of Slavutych.
